Well, now it’s May 2009 and what has the world got to show for it?
As futurists we closely watch world affairs to see if we can predict what may be happening next. Apart from the economic recession, which we believe will eventually become a depression, there are other factors which make our world a very unsettling planet to live on right now.
We will report some of the latest events here but we do not want you to be afraid.
Instead we want you to be prepared and to take control over your circumstances – so you can be forewarned and can begin to change your circumstances appropriately.
Here at AlterQuest we are gathering people, all over the planet, who want to unite and work together to find answers for the problems facing humanity at this time. The answers we offer are both practical and spiritual because we need practical new solutions and we also need a much more spiritual approach to life if mankind is going to move forward in the 21st century.
Anyhow, these are some of the things you need to be aware of at this time:
The Swine flu is rampaging all over the planet and although it seems not to be as virulent as first predicted, once it gets cold in the Southern Hemisphere, for their winter, the virus could spread at a faster rate.
There are still earthquakes and volcanoes happening all over the planet. The latest earthquakes are 5.3 in Venezuela, 5.3 in Papua, Indonesia and 5.2 off the Solomon Islands in the Pacific. There was also a smaller 2.5 quake in the Los Angeles area and a 3.0 in Washington State.

With regards to our civilization, there are still many small wars and there is much oppression happening. Even if you are in a (so called) first world country you will probably be feeling the effect of the economic recession. People are feeling anxious in case they lose their jobs. They don’t know how they will get another position in the current economic climate.
Here at AlterQuest we say that the ‘old’ ways are not the best ways. There are alternative options for many of the situations on the Earth. For example, there are alternative economies; alternative food sources; alternative energy sources; alternative jobs…. And more…

1. We foresaw the problems mankind would face and we felt there were ways to overcome some of these issues.
